Dynamics news: Huge restructuring at Microsoft as Kirill Tatarinov out

As part of a major restructuring effort, Microsoft SEO Satya Nadella has announced a series of changes to his leadership team, starting with the news that Kirill Tatarinov will be departing as the leader of the Microsoft Business Solutions.

This comes following the news that the Dynamics product line is moving under the umbrella division of Cloud and Enterprise, headed by Scott Guthrie.

We won’t publish Nadella’s full statement here, he does say that “”Scott Guthrie will continue to lead the Cloud and Enterprise (C+E) team focused on building the intelligent cloud platform that powers any application on any device.”

He also comments on the achievements of Kiill Tatarinov, making clear that his departure is on positive terms. “Kirill Tatarinov is going to explore what’s next for him. Under Kirill’s leadership, the Dynamics business has grown to a nearly $2 billion business with an ambitious wave of products on the horizon”, says Nadella.

“I am very thankful for Kirill’s unswerving leadership in bringing Dynamics to this point and building a strong leadership team to carry it forward.”

Another noteworthy change is that Chris Capossela, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer will include Dynamics and Education marketing under his reemit. According to Nadella, “We are aligning our engineering efforts and capabilities to deliver on our strategy and, in particular, our three core ambitions,” said Satya Nadella. “This change will enable us to deliver better products and services that our customers love at a more rapid pace.”

Kirill Tatarinov has been relatively quiet about leaving his role. However, in a response to well wishers on Twitter, he replied “Thanks so much! Deeply appreciate it. Incredible sense of accomplishment and closure.”

We wish Kirill luck in his next endevours, and we welcome Scott Guthrie and Chris Capossela into the Dynamics fold. We hope you’ll all join us in making them feel welcome.
